It’s kind of funny seeing the oh-so-liberal New York magazine say that the Mueller probe is just fine because it’s extracted enough money from guilty pleas to pay for itself. I wonder how N.Y. mag. would react if the Manhattan D.A.’s office boasted that it extracted enough money from drug defendants to more than pay for itself. But nobody minds taking money from people we dislike, no matter how it’s done …
