Them young’uns is taking over. Us old folk don’t stand a chance any more. Still, his current rating of 1473 puts him at 27th in the country for eight-year-olds. His latest tournament result raises his rating to 1587, which would put him at 14th among eight-year-olds. The top eight year old is Alexander Wang at 1988 so Tani has a way to go to join the elite juniors. But he’s already come a long way and I wish him all the luck in the world.
